Do I need to keep OAK up while using Oak Desktop?

OAK and Oak Desktop share information therefore any trade information that you might need from OAK will be available on OAK Desktop and vice versa, so it is not necessary to have both up. However, we do encourage you to keep both OAK and OAK Desktop open for your trading convenience.

Who do I contact if I am having trouble with quotes?

First, check to make sure you are connected to the OAK servers. If you are not, a window at the bottom right of your screen will say, “Connection to Oak lost.” Close and restart OAK Desktop. If this doesn’t work, check that you have a live connection to the Internet. If neither of the prior solutions solve the problem, call OAK Support at 877-786-3955.

What are the system requirements for my computer?

Do I use decimals in any prices?

Decimal places are only used for Single Stock Futures products. Prices read with a decimal point followed by 2 digits. (100.01, 99.05, 75.27)

Where can I find the commodity symbols?

For the most up-to-date list of commodity symbols, please check with the exchange. The search feature is also available from within an order ticket.

What are the trading hours?

The most up to date trading hours can be found at the exchange. However, OAK Trading offers a reference sheet on the website with a list of commodities and their trading hours. Please note that trading hours can change, and Oak Trading does not guarantee the accuracy of the information contained in its reference sheet.

What is my Oak Desktop password?

After you have been authorized for Oak Desktop, your OAK and Oak Desktop usernames and passwords will be the same.

What contracts will I be able to view quotes and waterfalls for?

Contracts trading on all major futures exchanges have quotes and waterfalls available.

How will I know if OAK is experiencing difficulties with processing or quote feeds?

A notice will pop up on your screen to tell you the nature of the problem. This must be acknowledged within 60 seconds of your receipt, otherwise your connection will be terminated.
